Reproductive factors related to lifetime oestrogen exposure and obesity are linked to increasing risk of ovarian cancer and the typical Western diet, which is low in plant-based foods and high in red meat, has been implicated in raising ovarian cancer risk for which the use of herbal therapies is common in treating women with ovarian cancer, though few women consult a health practitioner for advice on usage and indications.
