Summary Eurocentric intellectual frameworks misrepresent indigenous Australian cultural law. Non-indigenous representations of "aboriginal religion" are often incomplete due to difficulties in the translation of "law", "society", and "spirit" between cultures. Postcolonial and cultural theory both hinders and assists in addressing problematic representations of Aboriginal Australian sacred culture in modern Australian society.
