Summary A study under controlled conditions of ovarian development and rematuration in the yabby. A model of ovarian rematuration which collects the findings of the experimental investigations was developed, and used to suggest a hatchery broodstock management protocol. This model differs from existing models in that rematuration triggers and nutritional status are considered.
