Summary This research examined the ecological, morphometric and genetic variability of the Little Penguin (Eudyptula minor) between seven colonies in south-eastern Australia. Significant differences in breeding ecology and morphology were noted for birds between colonies. However, most colonies were genetically homogeneous with respect to each other, with the exception of the Kangaroo Island colony.
