Summary Lichen floristics and distribution patterns were studied in Victorian cool temperate rainforests. 165 lichens were found, representing 37 families. Thirty of these species were newly reported in Victoria. Rainforest type, age and level of disturbance, and host tree species and size were found to effect lichen abundance and community composition.
