Summary A diverse and hybrid text which interweaves poetry and prose to form a series of meditations on the theme of the hidden stories which lurk behind literary masks. It proposes: If fiction has a nature, then its nature is to hide just as soon as it utters the words we cannot speak. This composition also explicates the hidden stories that have brought this text to fruition.
Notes 'Each doppelgänger love' is a textual work (incl exegetical notes), as well as a performance and audio recording (not yet available on Double Dialogues website). Phil Carroll performed and recorded musical improvisation on accordion and mey (Duduk). Ceylan Hidayet assisted with the translation into English of Armenian and Turkish song lyrics. 'Each doppelgänger love' was performed at the conference “Double Dialogues 2009: Hidden Stories”, Victorian College of the Arts, Southbank, Faculty of the VCA and Music, University of Melbourne, 11 December 2009.
