Summary The Deakin Story Vessel was developed from community meetings held within the Deakin Ward of the City of Greater Geelong in early 2009. I analysed the stories to find essence images that express the history and culture of the region along with contemporary concerns for the environment and community aspirations.
Notes Sculpture created for the City of Greater Geelong's 'Connecting Identities' art project. The sculpture was displayed in the Story Vessels exhibition, at City Hall, Geelong and BMW Edge, Melbourne. Story Vessels was also shown at a number of conferences throughout the year.
