Notes

The 'AEDI checklist completion : an interactive guide for teachers' CD-ROM serves to guide teachers through the AEDI Checklists.

Australian Early Development Index (AEDI), an Australian Government Initiative, sponsored buy the Department of Education, Emploment and Workplace relations. AEDI is based at the Centre for Community Child Health, Royal Children's Hospital.

The 'AEDI checklist completion' was developed out of a series of consultations with teachers, early childhood specialists, multicultural education workers and other key stakeholders. Jodie Kline led the development of the CD ROM and checklist guidelines under the supervision of Mary Sayers and Sharon Goldfeld.

Sections with document and media resources include:

  • About the AEDI
  • How will schools and teachers benefit?
  • How will communities benefit?
  • How to use the web-based data entry system
  • How to answer the AEDI checklist questions

A later version was developed, led by Kate Naish in collaboration with the project team. It built on the original work.
