Summary Currently in Victoria, the Government is spending millions of dollars on the implementation of literacy intervention programs in State Schools. This narrative explores an English teacher's experiences as she implemented a literacy intervention program at her school, where she was confronted by questions about its value, nature and purpose, as well as challenges to her professional identity.
