Summary Amino-functionalized MIL-53(Al) was synthesized, activated, and modified in a postsynthetic modification step using formic acid. All reaction products were characterized in detail. Solid-state NMR spectroscopy unequivocally demonstrates the presence of the different guest species as well as the successful post-synthetic functionalization.
