Summary This thesis found that the application of non-invasive brain stimulation during resistance training enhances gains in muscular strength and activation. The findings shed light on the contribution of the nervous system in strength development, and can be used to improve rehabilitation techniques for conditions such as musculoskeletal injury and stroke.
