Summary This report provides a methodology for undertaking a study to norm the LS/CMI in Singapore. The study will involve two parallel methodologies. The first involves a quasi-retrospective study for which data collection commenced in mid-2012 and continued through to early January 2013. Data will be collected in 2014 and 2015 for one- and two-year recidivism studies with recidivism as the primary dependent variable will be recidivism (defined as re-incarceration). A full LS/CMI prospective study will be run in parallel with the retrospective study. Data collection for this study commenced in 2012 and will provide comparison data within a 5-year evaluation cycle to confirm the reliability of the quasi-retrospective results. The timeframe for a one-year recidivism study (i.e., 1 year time to recidivism) is 2017-2018 although it is recommended that recidivism data also be collected for 2 and 3-year follow-ups.
