Summary This research provides insight into the evolution and function of zebrafish cell signaling proteins, Suppressor of Cytokine Signaling 4a, 4b and 5a. These signaling proteins were found to play essential roles during early and late stages of embryonic development, with specific roles in sensory processing and immune cell development.
