Summary The project was about improving the performance of lithium batteries by using alternative electrolytes, combining aspects of applied technology and high-end scientific research. It showed the possibility of using novel ionic electrolytes as a superior alternative to conventional electrolytes, improving performance and safety, resulting in three high quality journal publications.
