Summary Ascorbate (AsA) also known as vitamin C is a key antioxidant in plants. AsA is a multifunctional molecule involved in plant growth and development, in addition, its level in the plant organs was related to the plant hormone levels, and also was associated to regulate the cell cycle and cell division.
