Summary  The studies conducted as part of this thesis contribute to the growing knowledge surrounding sweet taste function and potential existence of complex carbohydrate taste in humans. The findings supports the existence and functionality of complex carbohydrate sensitivity and ad libitum consumption of complex carbohydrate foods, dietary intake and body composition.
