Summary This paper presents the La Trobe e-Sanctuary concept, which aims to develop a cross-reality environment where a physical wildlife sanctuary is synchronised in real-time with its virtual counterpart. We outline the concept, research issues in realising this concept, components of our on-going project, and applications.
