Summary The thesis examined sexual harassment perpetrated by strangers and nonstrangers and associations with disordered eating and psychological distress. Findings indicated coping and self-objectification significantly influenced the relationship between sexual harassment and outcomes. The findings provided a unique contribution to literature, highlighting the importance of addressing both stranger and nonstranger harassment.
