Summary This study has investigated the synthesis of graphene and boron nitride composite nanosheets and their lubrication application. Large-scale production of graphene and boron nitride composite nanosheets has been achieved using a high-energy ball milling process. The composite nanosheets exhibit better wear resistance and friction reduction properties than the homogeneous nanosheets.
