Summary This research project focused on the characterisation, optimisation and manufacturing of novel bamboo/polylactide bio-composites suitable for automobile applications. A mechanically performant bio-composite materials was developed by improving the interfacial adhesion using an ecologically friendly approach. The upscale of the manufacturing process on a pilot line was also demonstrated.
