Summary The thesis examined the effect of additional magnesium on the thermoelectric performance of as cast and deformed Mg2Sn based alloys. The additional Mg improved castability of these alloys. The efficiency of the alloys was increased via deformation processing. This is vital to the commercialisation of this kind of thermoelectric alloys.
