Summary No results found for This study determined the microstructural and optical origins of the surface defect known as "thermomechanical streaking". The findings of this study will help reduce the prevalence of streaking in the aluminium extrusion industry, and consequently reduce the significant material and energy wastage which coincide with every occurrence.
