Summary This thesis has developed robust nonlinear backstepping and adaptive backstepping controllers for power networks. Comprehensive control solutions are provided for conventional and modern power generation systems including DC microgrids. One of the excellent features of these controllers is the robustness against parameter uncertainties and measurement noises.
