Summary In this dissertation, three empirical studies are undertaken to unravel the behavior of the credit market. The outcome of this research provides better understanding toward the role of the credit rating on corporate financial decisions, the reaction of Credit default swap market after the release of financial reports and the impact of CDS trading on corporate investment
