Building on Museum of Brisbane Exhbiition in 2017/18 and Geelong After Dark Commissions, this work continues to ask the question 'what is it in being human that new technologies cannot measure? how do these subjectivities impact on quality of life? How is identity truncated through data harvesting and the human/technological interface? As a result of these works I submitted an application to get support to develop my practice using new technologies in a gallery or public art context and was successful in receiving an Australia Council Grant. Consequently I am working with ARS Electronica who support the development of my existing practice using Artifical Intelligence, sensors and other electronic materials in the ongoing exploration.
Notes
The exhibition consisted of 3 new works. I was invited to apply for Geelong After Dark as a result of making this body of work which will receive outside funding for 2019. I also received funding from the Australia Council as the visuals supplied were from this exhibition.
