Summary This thesis presents a new method for representing and recognizing human group activities using sensors, showing how real-world group activity scenarios can be automatically detected and understood by combining sensor data from smartphones, smartwatches, and Internet-of-Things devices. This research also introduces a generic service-oriented architecture for cloud-based group activity recognition.
