Summary In this paper, we study the channel-aware (CA) randomization for a simple physical-layer encryption scheme and show that the probability of successful attack becomes very low by CA randomization when the known plain-text attack is carried out. As CA randomization becomes vulnerable to the channel estimation attack, its impact on the performance is investigated in terms of the average number of known elements of a key subsequence when the known plain-text attack is performed together with the channel estimation attack.
