Summary This study answered what demand and the supply factors determine patient/medical tourist’s decision to travel overseas for medical treatment to India. The findings policy implication concludes that, patients search for information about surgeon’s expertise, hospital accreditation-quality, surgery waiting-time, state-of-the-art hospital-facilities, cost-savings, patient-safety, hospital-precision, and tourism for a positive healthcare outcome.
