Summary This study gathered information about the implementation of ecotourism as a sustainable development tool, in two distinct case studies: Corangamite Catchment Region in Australia, and Janos Biosphere Reserve in Mexico. The results provided factors and criteria, essential for the development of ecotourism, that form the base for an ecotourism development framework.
