The aim of this research is that the findings would support DELWP’s investigations and development of the Anglesea Futures Land Use Plan (2018) comprising the present Alcoa leasehold and freehold lands at Anglesea. The study area for this investigation encompasses the study area used in DELWP’s Anglesea Futures Land Use Scenarios Discussion Paper (2017) study area. This research applies an Environmental Deterministic Methodological approach (McHarg, 1969), to study how the physical environment accommodates potential human activities to particular development scenarios for the Anglesea Futures Study Area. This research has adopted and applied this methodological approach, using advanced geographic information systems (GIS) technologies in which to model the different scenarios and land use impacts.
