book
posted on 2018-03-01, 00:00 authored by G Al
With the world facing an information technology and communication revolution, RFID technology is one of the active sides among the different technologies that are following this revolution. Yet, as with any other technology, there were many aspects and issues which arose alongside the rapid development of RFID implementations in different industries such as smart labs, libraries and VANETs, etc. These issues include security, privacy, scalability, RFID tag collision and issues in the process of ownership transfer of the RFID tags. These issues were of great concern not only for the researchers, but also for the consumers and industry managers who implement this technology to develop a better innovative structure for their businesses. In today’s world, it is very important to make any industry secure and reliable - especially in the field of IT - as it delves into the very distinct details that might cause the loss of fortunes when leaking information or processing unsecure operations due to a faulty operation process. In this book, the authors will introduce the reader to RFID implementation in different industries and will also survey the aspects and new ideas which will help researchers to secure and address some of these threats. This book also takes into consideration the experiences of many scholars who have investigated and surveyed these challenges, technology aspects, implementations, threats and solutions. With the help of researchers and scholars who have participated in the subject of RFID technology, the authors hope that it will help other researchers and readers to have a better understanding to this rapidly evolving technology.
