Australian infrastructure needs and benefits - an assessment

The conference paper establishes a positive relationship between infrastructure investment and gross domestic product, estimating the impact of one billion dollars of infrastructure investment to generate a one percentage point elevation in GDP. However infrastructure investment was found to be a necessary but not sufficient condition for GDP growth. Skilled labour was also found to be required.
