This last chapter outlines several challenges of research and practice in international human resource management (IHRM) and points to future directions. Challenges of research cover further theoretical development, multilevel analysis and research design. Multinationals will continue facing key challenges of global leadership development, talent attraction and retention, and innovation of designing and delivering various human resource management policies and practices to address constant global demographic, technological and societal changes. It is suggested that more work are to be done to strengthen and advance the field of IHRM research and practice.
