The emergence of the Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm is transforming the way healthcare services are provided to patients especially in eHealth which is reliant upon digital resources to deliver efficient and quality healthcare. In order to identify the various threats to the eHealth system and possible countermeasures, this chapter first defines the eHealth system and the role of IoT and its numerous applications in healthcare. It presents a threat landscape of IoT-based medical systems which describe the various assets of the system, followed by an explanation of vulnerabilities and threats for various digital assets present within individual layers of an eHealth system. This is followed by a detailed analysis of countermeasures to protect eHealth systems from cyber-attacks. The chapter is then concluded through a summary of findings presented.
