chapter
posted on 2018-03-01, 00:00 authored by Patricia Dunning
Personalised care is as essential to safe quality care and optimal outcomes as evidence-based care. Personalising care is an art that involves active listening, being mindful, being able to interpret people’s stories and using the information to create care plans with them. Words are powerful. Select them carefully and use them wisely. Language must be congruent with the philosophy of personalised care.
