In this paper, a new switched-capacitors boost inverter for renewable energy sources is proposed which uses minimum number of power electronic components. Renewable energy sources are often made by a DC-DC converter that used for tracking maximum operating point and an inverter to deliver the active power into the utility. One of the most important factors in designing multi-level inverters is the number of required switches against required voltage levels, because switches determine the reliability, costs, losses and control complexity. A comparison is made between proposed structure and the classical multilevel inverter structures are presented to reflect the merits of the presented structure. Multi-carrier PWM method for two different topologies multilevel boost inverter is presented using MATLAB-Simulink software.
