Cusp Catastrophe Models in Neurochemistry & Behaviour

conference contribution

Abrupt behavioral changes may be captured in Logistic
Cusp Catastrophe models. We have developed
applications which include modelling of competing
neurochemistries resulting in bistable outcomes, as
observed in narcolepsy and delirium. Likewise,
aggressive conduct is shown to span a bifurcated
behavioral space as evidenced in road rage incidents
These applications are explored with the model to better
understand the underlying dynamics.
