Joel Zika will discuss the link between traditional haunted amusements and contemporary VR. Joel has spent his entire career studying Dark Rides (“spook houses,” “ghost trains,” etc.) and has built a VR project to archive this iconic but fading form of American entertainment. Joel will explain the history of Dark Rides and how his project is using VR to unite thousands around a universal cause.
