Design of orthogonal wavelet filters with minimum RMS bandwidth using a symbolic approach
conference contribution

The orthogonal wavelet filter is widely used in filterbank design because of its advantage in energy preservation. In this work, the orthogonal wavelet filter with a given length and a prescribed number of Vanishing Moment (VM) is designed to achieve minimum Root- Mean-Square (RMS) bandwidth by using a symbolic approach.
