Digital special collections data storage at Deakin

Over the past 8 years, Deakin University Library has undertaken several digitisation projects of its Special Collections. From initially scanning small numbers of photos with small file sizes, today the Library is scanning very large items, with up to 92GB of files for a single item. DRO is unable to handle such large numbers of files, so an alternative mechanism of storing Special Collection scans, using Deakin's Research Data Store, was set up.
