This paper analyses the impacts of distributed wind generation on distribution networks
of power systems. The analysis is done over a test distribution system representative of
the Kumamoto area in Japan. The detailed mathematical modelling of the system is also
presented. The power losses at various nodes of the system as well as in the whole
system with and without the integration of wind generator are presented. This paper also
provides simulation results showing the effects of higher and lower penetration of
distributed wind generation on voltage dynamics in a faulted system
