Relevant past performance for selecting web services
conference contribution
posted on 2006-01-23, 00:00 authored by W Sherchan, S Krishnaswamy, Seng LokeSeng LokeThe selection of Web services is typically based on performance (or perception of performance) in past invocations. Instead of using the entire history of invocations in evaluating the performance of services, we use a portion of the history, selected with respect to the current user request. To facilitate this selection, we establish that it is feasible to infer the requirements and preferences of the users from the SLA.
