Mildura's Clement John De Garis (1884 - 1926) was renowned in his lifetime as an entrepreneur, promoter of Australian literature, publicist, pioneering aviator, author, lyricist, orator, dramatist, irrigationist, newspaper proprietor, magazine editor, land developer and most importantly, a visionary.
