Contains data relating to six rural case studies of work integrated learning outcomes for pre-service teachers, teachers and other stakeholders in the community. Case studies were conducted in Hamilton, Horsham, Maryborough, Portland, Nhil and Swan Hill. 30 audio files of interviews and 30 interview transcripts are in doc and xls format. This project focuses on the research and scholarship of teaching graduates to be work ready for the needs of rural communities. The project seeks to know how to better facilitate Work Integrated Learning (WIL) in places where access, isolation, attraction and retention are increasing issues. This project aims to explore how pre-service teacher education can build and better support rural and regional pre-service teachers (PST's) through community based WIL experiences.
