Research statement
Carjacked Culture Poster Exhibition explored the appropriation of Indigenous language and culture in design practice. This research involving students from Bacchus Marsh Grammar took place in 2019, the UNESCO year of Indigenous languages. The research provides an opportunity for Indigenous representation issues to be addressed, filling a void in current secondary school curriculums.
