Damaged is a collection-based artwork made up of 87 photographs that have been variously damaged. They may have been stabbed, cut, torn or torched by their owners. People may have been removed for a locket or in an act of anger. Some of the photographs may simply have been damaged by wear and tear while others may have suffered technical ‘in camera’ difficulties. Together they call up the damage done by and to photography. They are a little history of photography and damage.
