Research statement

The INDIGO Symposium at Emily Carr University of Art and Design gathered Indigenous designers from around the world to discuss cultural issues as they relate to professional design practice. INDIGO is a meeting place for Indigenous designers across the globe. The research involved a presentation about the history of INDIGO the International Indigenous Design Network. The presentation explained the context leading to its inception and included a report on the Indigenous Design Charter Project. The research also explored potential opportunities and challenges for INDIGO moving forward.
