Reconnections: from Markov Chain to the mark of Cain

This exhibition saw numerous collection-based artworks displayed in a matrix hang whereby each collection was found to connect at a single point. The collections which were assembled according to different singular constraints are found to intersect in surprising and extraordinary ways. The method of finding intersections amongst different classes of things echoes the search methods and techniques of the internet search engines with their either or dichotomies, their successions and resemblances and the expressive chance possibilities and poetic connections set off by algorithms and logic gates.
