Research statement

This new work, is built on research over the last 7 years into the quantum physics of light. The artwork, created through a bespoke pinhole camera is made through an embodied process in which light speed is subject to photography's rule of recipocity. Using the camera as if a part of my body, the exposure is made by moving to light's volatile intensities, locations chosen that push the chance of accidents in exposure. I rely upon my innate knowledge of photographic exposure to move while shootng a still image. The work extends on 'Fly Rhythm' a solo exhibition at Arc One Gallery in 2013, and more iterations in international group exhibitions since then. The process has been the subject of a journal article with archtecture Philip Roos , also presented at the conference for the Lorne Sculpture Biennal in 2018.
