This work is created as a visual and audio sculptural work to capture live and pre recorded media. The work has been designed in relation to the curatorial theme and architecture and function of the Town Hall. It is presented as the centre piece for Geelong After Dark. The sculptural elements house the live video and sound media collected over a night and are contextualised with heritage moving image footage creating both an historic and contemporary record of Geelong culture. As the selected artist I responded to the theme, architecture and design of the Festival to create participation and inclusivity as part of the work.
Commissioned by Geelong Council Cultural Heritage fund the work launched the festival Geelong After Dark 2019. Although it is presented on the same platform as Geelong After Dark it is a commissioned work by the Cultural Dept itself in consultation with the Heritage Committee and in response to their policies toward Geelong's cultural future.
